  • 2nd shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

  • 3rd shift: 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

  • Monday through Friday

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a moderate understanding of the injection molding process from previous experience.


Part Inspection / Packaging

  • Inspects parts coming from work cell to ensure they meet parameters defined on QC inspection sheet and reference parts.

  • Package parts as defined in operator work instructions ensuring box and pallet quantities are correct.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform Hourly Checks and sign offs for your work cell and other work cells as needed

  • Prepping job binders and labels as determined by shift lead

  • Startup approvals

  • Works with supporting departments to ensure the machine is producing desired part parameters

  • Ensures work instructions are correct and up to date

Mold & Job Setup & Teardown

  • Mold Setting

  • Work cell setup – Including all documentation, quality samples, tools and auxiliary equipment needed

  • Work cell teardown – Returning all documentation, quality samples, tools and auxiliary equipment to correct location

  • Mold Removal

Material Handling

  • Material Prep & teardown – Including loading and cleaning dryers, swapping out gaylords, pulling materials, components and packaging from staging, setting up grinders and cleaning loaders for the next job

Injection Processing and Troubleshooting

  • Press startup – Ensure the start-up checklist is complete. Load the correct program in the machine and ensure all parameters are correct according to the mold book or approved process sheet.

  • Troubleshooting minor issues such as, but not limited to, stuck parts, contamination, door/ machine alarms, and automation alarms

  • Adjust automation programs and EOAT to meet production standards.

  • Works with shift lead and manufacturing engineers on major issues.

  • Writes mold work orders as needed when issues arise

  • Documents all process changes in the process change log

  • Ensure work cell is performing at or below standard scrap and cycle-time


Qualifications

  • Any combination of training, education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Experience in injection molding or related roles (Material Handler, Die Setter, Processor, or Quality)
